Elizabeth Taylor

23 Mar
I grew up in a family obsessed with old Hollywood movies. Looking back on my childhood it always at some point, seems to magically blend itself with the black, white, and charcoal images of the Golden days of Hollywood and I often used to loose myself in the stories and auras of its shining stars . I remember lying on the carpet of our living room floor with my sister one evening, and being totally transfixed by a little girl on the screen and the vibrant violet colour of her eyes.  As my mother entered the room, my sister and i were both awaiting the quizzing” Who is Who of movie world” questions which if you were part of our family you would have grown accustomed to, and I daresay you probably would have acquired a definite competitive streak that would still be with you to this day, I sailed through all the main actors without trouble, much to the annoyance of my little sister who seemed only to recognise Pie, the horse. However I still had a lot to learn apparently as I didn’t know the little girl. Needles to say it was Elizabeth Taylor. Throughout her career she became the epitome of beuty and her style was copied by millions, Dolce and Gabbana held her as their muse for their Fall Winter 92 campaign,  and im sure they will be more to come.  Here are some of my favorite photos of her.
